Australian Standard 3745 Compliance Check (Preparing for Emergencies)

🚨 A score of 50 to 60:

Congratulation, you are doing a great job. Keep up the good work. You are mitigating risk associate with emergencies in the workplace and providing a safer workplace for your employees. You organisation should be complimented on this result.

🚨 A score of 41 to 49:

Well done. You seem to be complying with many parts of Australian Standard 3745. Even so, there seem to be a few areas that require greater emphasis so employees are provided with a safe working environment.

Furthermore, a safe environment for anyone from the public who might enter your premises. It may be helpful to have an emergency management specialist conduct a brief review of your emergency management plan. Or obtain a copy of Australian Standard 3745 and have the EPC conduct a review.

🚨 A score of 31 to 40:

You are kicking a goal in many respects but further work is required. Compliance with Australian Standard 3745 seems to be one of the key issues that is confronting your organisation. Employees may be provided with a safe working environment mostly, but it is unlikely this would be the case during major emergencies.

Your organisation would achieve real benefit from having an emergency manager provide a review of the emergency management plan and give feedback to the EPC/Senior management.

🚨 A score of 21 to 30:

Currently, it seems like you are non-compliant and a major review is required. Your organisation would achieve real benefit from having an emergency manager provide a review of the emergency management plan and give feedback to the EPC/Senior management.

You have indicated a lot of positives, but it is likely that some element of your emergency management plans will be almost unworkable.

🚨 A score of 0 to 20:

It would be very unlikely that your organisation would comply with health and safety legislation. And maybe strongly criticised or even fined by an inspector if they conduct a review of your current compliance.

Where you are unsure how to proceed there would be a great benefit in employing a senior emergency management consultant to start the process of effective emergency planning.
